BQ20Z65-R1: How to shut down BQ20z65R1 Gas Gauge IC by SBS COMMAND

Dear Team,

My customer use our BQ20Z65-R1 in their project and it have been MP since around 2014. They have the following question, could you help it?

We have the 3S2P battery used the BQ20z65R1 Gas Gauge IC as below data, if we find the this battery pack crack. How to shut down BQ20z65R1 Gas Gauge IC by SBS COMMANDS and not used discharge and charge?? Thanks.

    Send command 0x0010 to 0x00 twice with no charger attached. If it satisfies conditions specified in section 2.8.6 of TRM if will shut down.

    Dear team,

    Here is my customer reply.

    We used the recommend command set to battery, but that is shipping command. We need to setting battery function as below list, thanks.

    Our case is:
    1. Battery used on charging or discharging mode
    2. Send command SBS command to shutdown charge MOSFET and discharge MOSFET on battery charging or discharge mode.
    3. Battery SMB communication is work on shutdown charge MOSFET and discharge MOSFET.

    There is no such command that can do that.

    1. If your battery is discharging and your cell voltage is below shutdown threshold for shutdown time, the gauge will shutdown.
    2. If you send the shutdown command twice with no current, with pack voltage below charger present threshold, the gauge will shutdown
    3. The gauge will wake up on charger attach.

    The gauge automatically controls the fet and there is no direct command apart from fetcontrol that will turn off the fet when current is present.
