Part Number: BQ25882EVM-001
Dear all.
What is the function of D7 of EVM?
When there is this diode, I think that a current flows through SYS from BAT when BATFET is off.

Pan,
I think this diode is helping to share BATEFT power dissipation if high discharge current condition, And it is especially helpful during BATFET fully on period.
In real design case, I think you can save this diode.
I also show chip block diagram for your reference then you can see D7 is just parallel with BATFET's (Q4) body diode.
Thanks
Paul
Thank you for reply.
How about at the time of BATFET off?
I am understand when it do not have any problem at On.
However, when BATFET is Off, the battery voltage is low or thinks that charge is disable.
I think the leak current is small when only an internal body diode.
I think the leak current is small when only an internal body diode, but the Schottky diode is too big.
Pls. teach me this point.
