Unable to read ADC Gain And Offset

  • Hi Parimala,

Can you provide more details (screen capture, waveforms, etc.)? Are you able to read all other registers? Are you using the GUI and EVM? When you say 'unable to read', are you reading an incorrect value or is it all zeros?

  • Hi Matt,

First thing is, I am not able to interface this device. And the screenshot is given below.

this is the pop-up which was displayed after connecting BMS and EV2400

Secondly,I tried to check the voltages on SCL and SDA lines and on REGOUT. But, on SCL and SDA it is 0.7V.Where it should be 2.5V because I used bq76930.

  • Hi Parimala,

It looks like the device is not communicating with the EV2400. The error message from the software is a little confusing because it mentions the ADC Gain and Offset specifically.

If the REGOUT is low, make sure the device has been brought out of Shutdown mode. This can be done by pressing and releasing the BOOT switch. Also make sure to remove the shunts from the headers connecting the BQ76930 to the gauge since you are interfacing to the BQ76930 directly. Make sure that the proper voltage is applied to the BATT terminals on the EVM and verify that the I2C address matches the version of the BQ76930 you are using. The AFE Quick Start section of the EVM User Guide might provide some other clues.

    Best regards,
    Matt
