Hallo together,
I want to know if it is allowed to supply the UCC2802 with 15V current limited by a 100 Ohm resistor so that I can directly supply a SiC-Mosfet with the
15V-output of the PWM-output. In the datasheet it is written that the maximum allowed VCC voltage is 12V, but the turn-on voltage is 12,5 V, what's that?
From datasheet:
In normal operation VCC is powered through a current limiting resistor. Absolute maximum of 12 V applies when VCC is driven from a low impedance source such that ICC does not exceed 30 mA (which includes gate drive current requirement).
So can VCC be higher than 12V when the supply current is limited by an external resistor?
Is there any suppressor diode inside the UCC2802 which limits the maximum supply voltage? If yes, at which voltage level the overvoltage protection starts to conduct?
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Patrick
