TPS65185: VCOM V_abs_max in power off

Hello E2E,

In my application, we apply 15V to VCOM of the panel for ~2 second.  Can the TPS65185 handle 15V on the VCOM when the power is off?  If not, do you have a recommended circuit to protect it?

    Hi Russell,

    This would likely damage the TPS65185.

    While I don't see an Abs Max number for VCOM in the datasheet, VCOM is supplied by VIN, and a higher voltage would allow an internal leakage path.

    We do not have a validated circuit to recommend for this use case, but isolation should be possible with an external switch.
