UCC28063 datasheet states that it is suitable for up to 800W. What causes the limit, given that it is a controller?

Is there any other device to achieve 1000W?

    Hello Eddie,

    The UCC28063 is a critical conduction mode PFC interleaved PFC pre-regulator. The peak currents are 2 times that of an average current mode control interleaved PFC pre-regulator.  The RMS currents become more of an issue due to these peak current at output power ratings of more than 800W.  For 800 W and above we recommended average current mode interleaved PFC using the UCC28070 interleaved PFC controller.
