Hello!

We have 7-cell battery. Can't run discharge. Curent lower then -200mA is normal, but higher then -200 mA goes to DCH FET closing. In this tim only BAL_EN register changes its value.

Two logs and data memory is attachd.

Looking through EVM - D1, D3, R7 should be removed. As I found - the combination of these elements leads to the closure of the DSG FET in reverse polarity

We changed the reference schematic and released a new rev to fix the issues. Please look up rev B. I will reply back for your other question after cheking your gg within the next 2 days.

Please update to fw ver 0.04. That should fix it.

Hello!
first of all I admit that it loks like discharge termination is the only hardware bug of scheme with diodes in the chain on the gate of the DSG FET.
By firmware ver. 0.04 you mean bq40z80 firmware? If so, where can I download this version?

This device has not released yet. Once released, it will be on ti.com.

Right now it's "preview" mode.

Yes I know) but how to update fw to v 0.04? Or how to check the fw version wich we have now?

You can check using the FW Version MAC Command. I believe it is 0x0002, please refer to the TRM.
