UCD3138: ADC mode questions of TP PFC

Hi TI Experts,

I have some questions that was about TP PFC code as follows,

Is there any particular reasons that has to be used single sweep ADC mode in TP PFC control?

If not ,does it have any side effect if I use continuous conversion mode instead of single sweep mode of ADC? thanks.

We use single sweep in all applications as it is easier to sync the reading of the ADC results with the timer driven interrupt.

one more comment from the code designer:

"Single sweep is used for totem pole PFC code because the AC zero crossing detection is critical in TP PFC. With continuous mode we may get AC_L and AC_N measurements at different time slots, this may give the wrong information when detecting the zero crossing."
