UCC21520: differences bwtween UCC21520 and UCC21521

Part Number: UCC21520
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC21521,

Hi

I have a question about UCC21520 and UCC21521. What is difference between UCC21520 and UCC21521? Is that only differences Pin#5?

I know the pin function of Pin#5 is different. However I do not understand why there is two device UCC21520 and UCC21521.

I would like to know the benefit of each device.

Best Regards,

Koji Hamamoto

  • Hi Hamamoto-san,

You are correct that the only difference between the UCC21520 and the UCC21521 is in Pin#5. This is Disable on UCC21520 and Enable on UCC21521. We made these separate parts in order to satisfy the needs of our customers. Some prefer an Enable High function, others prefer a Disable High function. This necessitates a different part number to avoid confusion between the parts.

Beyond this enable vs. disable logic functionality, these parts operate and perform the same.

If this helped answer your question, can you please press the green button?

If not, feel free to ask any follow-up questions, I'm happy to help.

    Thanks and best regards,
    John
