UCC28180: Boost converter

Is it possible to use ucc28180 for boost converter circuit whose input is three-phase 415V rectified AC? (I am not looking for PFC in this case).

But the converter must operate in PFC when one phase is missing (i.e single phase 415V). Shall I go for ucc28180 or need to change the IC?

Hello Vicky,
Yes you can use the UCC28180 with a three phase rectified 415V AC supply.
With 3 phase operation you will get power factor correction (current in phase with voltage) and output voltage regulation but not harmonic current reduction.
With single phase operation you will get power factor correction , output voltage regulation and also harmonic current reduction.

Hello john,
Thank you very much. Means my boost converter with ucc28180 controller will be compatible for single-phase as well as three-phase rectified AC. Also suggest an IC which has similar features of ucc28180 and gives a feature of interleaving two boost converter.
