Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ77915
Hello,
does the bq77905 have a minimum discharge current, which wakes the bq chip in case it entered a sleep or passive mode?
Thanks,
Needhu

Hi Needhu,
No, the bq77905 is always on when the voltage is sufficient. When undervoltage it turns off DSG but leaves CHG on (if there are no other faults) to allow charge of the battery. If the cells become depleted to the point the part is below POR voltage, it will turn off CHG and it can not be charged.
The bq77915 has similar protection features with the addition of OCC, balancing and a hibernate mode. The hibernate mode must be controlled by a signal to the IC, it is not a wake up with time or voltage based shutdown.
Hi,
Could you please take this question offline so that i can share the project info.
Thank you very much for your feedback.
