Hi team,

We have some questions for the BQ77915 in below.

1. The BQ77915 can do battery balance for the  BQ24773?

And the battery learn function must to do?

2. In the datasheet, the BQ77915 looks need to with 3-cell or more cell battery?

Is it can be used for 2-cell battery?

    Hi Zoe,
    1. Yes, the bq77915 monitors individual cells and can balance the cell voltages. The bq24773 sees the battery as a single combined voltage. The bq77915 is pre-programmed at the factory according to the configuration specified for the version ordered. At this time only the bq7791500 is shown as orderable. The device compares the battery parameters to its thresholds, but does not learn in the sense that a BMS gauge device learns the condition or capacity of the cells. If this does not explain your question, please ask again.
    2. The bq77915 only supports 3 to 5 cells (or more if used in a stacked configuration). It does not have a setting for only 2 cells. If only 2 cells are connected it will see the missing 3rd input as UV and will not enable the DSG output.
