TPS65130: Can INP and INN inputs share same net?

Part Number: TPS65130

Can INP_1 / INP_2 and INN_1 / INN_2, i.e, pin 1 & 24 and pin 5&6 share same net ( Vin ) through input inductor?  Also at pin 4 (VIN) does RC forms a filter or limits current going into VIN?

Thank you,

Sagar

  • Hello Sagar,

As shown in the functional block diagram of data sheet (section 7.2), INP is switch node of the boost converter and this node alternates between GND and positive output voltage (VPOS) so it can not be connected to INN which the input supply for the inverting buck-boost converter.
The RC circuit between INN and VIN is intended to acts as a filter and not a current limiter.

    Kind Regards,
