ISO5852S: Global shutdown in non-inverting mode

Part Number: ISO5852S

hi,

we can able to test the global shutdown in ISO5852S in inverting input mode. Is it possible to achieve the same using non-inverting mode. ?

Thanks & regards,

Rajasekaran

  • Hi Rajasekaran,

thanks for your interest in ISO5852S, welcome to e2e!!!
Global shutdown is only available in the inverting configuration.
Global shutdown occurs due to FLT pin (which needs to be tied to IN+) pulling IN+ low to disable the device.
Using IN- inverting input is a completely viable way to switch the device which allows the input threshold to be crossed even sooner when compared to non-inverting. Is there something preventing you from driving non-inverting signals? external components can also be added to invert the logic coming from the non-inverting uC.

    thanks,
  • hi Jeff,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

we inverted the logic using BC547 and now its working fine. :)

    Thanks & regards,
