TPS65950 32KCLKOUT Mode During "Battery Backup"

Hello,

Is the TPS65950 32KCLKOUT output enabled when the TPS65950 is in the "battery backup" mode (i.e., when the power source for the TPS65950 is the battery)?

    Hi,

    32KCLKOUT is enabled by default.

    With any power source for the device this 32KCLKOUT will be active unless you change the register settings. 32Khz is always active because in any mode TPS659xx and OMAP will require this to keep the minimum required state (sleep).

    I dont understand what you mean by the battery backup mode. I hope the above explanation helps. If you have any further questions then let me know.

    In ACTIVE and SLEEP state of the TPS65950 32KCLKOUT resource is ACTIVE and in OFF and BACKUP state 32KCLKOUT  resource is OFF.

    Internally 32K clock is present to maintain RTC but since NRESPWRON is OFF in BACKUP and OFF state, 32K clock is not required externally.
