Dear Team

Could the STATUS# pin TPS2546RTER be used as USB insertion indicator ?

According to application case below, STATUS# not connect to device = HI, STATUS# connect to device  = LO

Also, regarding to the truth table below, what does the "OFF" in STATUS Output mean? thank you

    Hello Eric,

    Yes, the STATUS# pin for the TPS2546 can be used as USB insertion indicator. As far as the truth table, on modes where STATUS Output is OFF, that means its signal will not go low when a device has been connected to the charger. So if you wish to use the load detection feature, you must use a charging mode where it is enabled.
