TPS23754: PoE shielding GND

Hello Sirs,

Need your experience sharing about PoE shielding GND connection issue .

If the PoE PD tps23754 design for a outdoor product which need to connect shielding case to earth GND.

But the PoE will not workable. Once removing shielding case connect with earth GND then It is workable .

Would you pls kindly give suggestion about this and what's the reason for this kind problem ?

Hi Terry,

Can you describe what happens when PoE is not working? Is the PD unable to startup?

Is the M4 screw connected to the Bob smith termination, while screws M8, M7, M5, & M6 are connected to the output ground? Which of these ground planes are connected to earth ground?
