TPS23756: tps23756/tps2376 need to handshake with PSE many times

Dear team,

Customer met an issue that no matter TPS23756 or TPS2376 that sometimes need to handshake with PSE many times that could succeed. So they want to know what may be the reason that cause handshake not succeed?

Hi Sammi,

Note some PSEs operate in semi-auto or manual mode where it will do multiple detection and/or class sequences before turning ON the port. This is function of the PSE IC itself and/or the software (power port management) deciding what to do with the port based on the information it gets from the detection/classification.

Also, are you referring the TPS23756 and TPS2376 EVMs or TI Design? Or a self-designed board? Can you forward the schematic so we can review if there are any issues on the PD side? Thanks!
