Hello,

We are looking for a commercially available Data logger solution for recording SBS Smart Battery Data via SMBus for bq IC based Battery BMS systems.

The datalogger should interface to the SMBus output port of the bq-IC based Smart Battery, and log specified battery data to either onboard flash memory or SD card (>32Mb) for multi-parameter data recording over several years of battery operation. Parameters to be monitored and recorded would include Battery and cell voltages, Current, Temperature, Capacity, Cycle Count, etc.

If TI doesn't offer any datalogger, would appreciate reference to any other commercially available solution.

    Hi Kailash,

    TI does not sell this type of test equipment. Datalogging is possible using BQSTUDIO along with the EV2400 when interfacing with TI battery management ICs. However, we do not offer any universal data logger for all SBS systems.

    I am not familiar enough with commercially available solutions to make a recommendation. You will need to research this to find the best solution for your needs.
