Hi Sir

I would like to use TS3USB221 to switch charger and SOC ,just like BQ25890 EVM

May I know how much time about D+/D- detection of BQ25882 need to spend ?

Hello Kai,

The detection could take up to 1 s. The /PG pin goes low after detection is complete.

Our end customer would like to know have any TI document to describe this 1 second ?

Kai,

There is no document. The time line is below:

REGN turn on time - up to 220ms typ

Poor source detection - up to 30ms typ

USB BC1.2 Data Connect - up to 500ms typ

If Data Connect successful within 500ms, SDP, CDP or DCP detection - up to 80ms typ

If Data connect no successful after 500ms, non standard adapter connection up to 10ms typ

Worst case typical 830ms for SDP, CDP or DCP.
