Q: If TPS65950/30/20 USB CP is not required (no need to provide VBUS), can the external capacitors be avoided ?
A: Yes. Make sure you never turn that ON, It will cause noise problems on other internal resources.

Hi Gandhar,
would you have a figure of the CP's efficiency vs the output current?
Thanks!
Hi,
Please find the details below regarding the CP's efficiency
- VBAT = 3.0V, max load : Min 65%, Nom 68% (measured)
- VBAT = 3.6V, max load : Min 55%, Nom 58% (computed)
- VBAT = 4.4V, max load : Min 45%, Nom 48% (measured)
According to the theory, this efficiency should be pretty stable for a load between 25mA and 100mA.
Thanks,
