Hi sir,

my customer is using TPS61194-Q1 for a 4s13p panel's backlight , but when the board power on , the screen will flicker and the inductor will happen Whistler meantime when the TPS61194 power on , TPS61194'S input voltage is 5.2V, output setting is 9.9V as panel's spec. PWM pin shorted to VDDIO/EN Pin.

customer wants to know if the TPS61194 is not suitable to drive the 4S13P panel, as the reference schematic is for 4P8S Pannel application ,tks.

What is the total forward voltage of 13LEDs in a sting? Why the output voltage is just 9.9V?

Hi Jerry,

The TPS61194 device can support 5.2V input voltage and 9.9V output LED voltage with proper design.
How are the 13 strings LEDs connected? Would you mind sending me the schematic of the TPS61194 circuit?
When you said the screen will flicker, do you have the related waveform? Such as the boost output voltage, the switching node?
