BQ27220: Adding another connection to BIN pin detect battery

Hi Team,

Would it possible to connect another device to the BIN pin to detect the presence of a battery?

Can I use this connection for that other device as well, assuming the input impedance is high enough. The customer cannot use the GPO pin as the MCU may not be powered to configure it as a battery detection.

Hi Joey,

The Bin pin ought to be connected to a 10K resistor or thermistor, nothing else.

Hi Joey,

Unfortunately, That is not something that was characterized else we would have included it in the data sheet.
