BQ27421EVM-G1B: How to program Golden Image to non volatile memory(nvm) in Battery Management Studio

Hi,

I have calibrated the BQ27421G1B chip for my battery pack and generated the golden image. I would like to program this to non volatile memory of the chip, but currently using the bqStudio I can only program the RAM. In our product we use a detachable battery and I would like to save the config ROM. I did some online research and could not find more information on this. The Golden Image file format is .gm.fs.

Can someone please tell me how to achieve this?

You can only program the voltatile memory of which data will be lost when you power cycle

Thanks for the quick response! I am referring to SLUSB85E, in this document it says I can configure OTP NVM in bq27421-G1.

Hello Avinash,

The OTP is only configured in RAM. We create a copy of the OTP in RAM and manipulate the parameters via RAM. Sorry, it may be confusing in the app note. It states it in the app note as well.
