Asking for the edge detection and delay fucntion IC

Hi Team,
Customer is looking for edge detection and delay function IC. (not just rest IC)
the customer's signal will always keep high or low, when high to low or low to high event can output trigger signal about 20 ms delay timing.

Would you please recommend the proper solution for this?

Hi,

If the trigger event can be both rising and falling edge on the input, then a voltage supervisor would be ideal for this application. With a supervisor, you would be able to "program" the output delay and trigger point.

If the trigger event can be either rising or falling edge on the input, then a voltage supervisor probably would be the most ideal solution, as supervisors detect absolute voltage. A more ideal solution may be using discrete 74 logic family devices to make the edge detector.
