BQ25120A: BQ25120 is not getting out of shipmode.

Hi,

BQ25120A enters ship mode once micro controller sets EN_SHIP MODE bit via I2C command.In ship mode,SYS output turns off and micro controller powers off.Exiting ship mode via MR button press is not happening even depressing MR button beyond t_Reset time has no effect.How to get PMIC out of ship mode?

Aiswarya,

The /MR needs to be pushed only for a few ms to start exiting ship mode. What is your battery level?

Can you share the plots of VBAT/PMID and /MR when the button is pressed?

Hi Gautham,
I cant plots VBAT/PMID/MR since my board is so small.My battery level is above 3.6v

Aiswarya,

No worries. Can you atleast plot the battery terminal? We want to make sure that when the device is starting up from ShipMode, the load on PMID (caps) are not causing the battery pin to see a voltage less than BUVLO.

Your schematic looks okay.
