UCC28064A: About selection of inductor

Part Number: UCC28064A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28063

Hi,

I am considering using the UCC28064A device.
Within that, I would like to ask you a question on how to select an inductor.
The inductor selection method described in the UCC28063 data sheet uses VIN_min.
I think this is a general idea.
On the other hand, in the data sheet of UCC28064A, the one with the smaller inductor value is selected.
What is the difference between this way of thinking?
Best regards,
  • If plotting the needed inductance for a given fMIN, you will see the needed inductance shows variation for that given fMIN. It is likely the min inductance is at low line or at high line. So it is better to check both ends to make sure.
