BQ25882: D+/D- pin configuration

Dear TI support,

I'm working with the bq25882 and I have a question about how the input current limit is set for a non-standard adapter by configuring the D+/D- pins.

Leaving the two pins floating seems to provide a 500mA input current limit, but I'm wondering what to do with those pins to provide the 2.1A current limit and the 2.4A current limit.

Hi Kevin,

Datasheet table 1 shows the V(D+) and V(D-) levels, created by resistor dividers from an accurate reference, that are needed. Alternatively, you can short D+/D- pins to configure for DCP, with IINDPM register at 3.25A maximum, and then use the ILIM resistor to set the input current limit lower.
