Asking for alt. solution to replace EJ179

Hi Team,
Do we have alt.s solution to replace EJ179?
EJ179 is doing power sink role only and it can support two PDO.
PDO0: 5V
PDO1: 5.5V.

Hi Scott,

For a 5V Type-C Sink only device, you could simply use two resistors on the CC lines. There is no need to use an IC for this solution.

Hi Eric,
the adapter can offer 5.5V and 5V option. if only using resistor, how to choose the 5.5V?

Hi Scott,

Does this IC have a Boost converter inside of it? I'm not sure how else they can output 5.5V when it is just a Type-C Only controller.

it seems did not has boost inside. no further information from this device due to customer's NDA with competitor.
