BQ25570EVM-206: Change VBAT_OV possible for the EVM board?

Part Number: BQ25570EVM-206

Hi,

I'm currently doing a project involving energy harvesting for a wireless sensor network and would like to have a rechargeable battery attached to my BQ25570EVM-206. However, due to the set VBAT_OV level (~4.2V) for the module, none of the battieries I have available (3.6V NiMH or 4.8V NiMH2) are usable (as I understand it) due to the risk of damaging the battery (e.g. overcharging or dischargning to a critical level). I was wondering if there is any possibility to modify the VBAT_OV value for the EVM board, or if there is any other simple solution that would allow me to use a rechargeable 3.6V battery without overcharging it (e.g. a switch or something). I apologize if my question seems confusing, I'm not really well versed when it comes to electrical engineering.

Kind regards,

Erik
