TPS53317: why the device TPS53317 can be used as DDR terminator,

Hi team,

why the device TPS53317 can be used as DDR terminator, How the device achieve sink current ability? Why other buck converter cannot be used here?

    Hi Frank,

    The buck converter is able to sink current.
    The other buck converter is not a suitable choice for DDR application is because they are lack of the features required by DDR application.
    For example, in TPS53317, VO can follow REFIN. Also, TPS53317 has negative over-current protection.
