Hi,

I'm confused about some of the configuration bits in the Initial Battery Mode register (SLUUBK0B, p.251).

What is the function of the PB bit (Primary / Secondary role) - is this for implementing a dual battery system, or for fuel gauging non-rechargeable batteries?

What is meant by the CC bit - it doesn't appear to disable the Advanced Charging Algorithm - is it for fuel gauges with a built in charger system?

It is dual battery system. I'm not sure why the TRM has little to no description of this. I have brought this up to the internal team and we will update the TRM. For now, please use the default.

Same with the CC bit. Use default configuration for now.

Does the bq40z50 support these functions, or are they perhaps there as placeholders, or to comply with the SMBus specification or something?
