LMR23610: Can LMR23610 support the FLY-buck applicant

Part Number: LMR23610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5161

Hi Expert,

We would like to propose the LMR23610 for FLY-buck of isolated applicant.

Pls advice whether LMR23610 can support this FLY-buck design or not.

Thanks.

  • Hello Eric,

It is possible to configure as a FlyBuck, but the current limit is not suitable for short circuit in the secondary. If you decide to use, care should be taken for fault conditions to ensure design is robust. Can consider the LM5161 as a good alternative for FlyBuck application?

    Hope this helps?
