About 56V lithium battery charger

Hi,

I want to design a 56V lithium battery charger. The following is the detail requirement. Would you like to recommend which TI component is the best choice?

Input Voltage: 9 - 17V

Output Voltage: about 56V

Output current: 12A

Hi,

This will need to be a boosting charger with input source capable of greater than 12A*56A/9V = 75A. TI battery charge group does not have a solution for this. I recommend searching the TI reference designs at www.ti.com/.../reference-designs.html

The closest fit for your power levels is www.ti.com/.../PMP21112 which will require modification by, for example, adding an INAXXX current sense amplifier to add the constant current portion of the LiIon charge profile.
