LM5022: LM5022 OUT pin derating

Part Number: LM5022

Hi Support team

The absolute max rating of OUT pin is 7V, but after measurement, the max value is around 7.2V to over the SPEC,

may I have your help to check it and any side effect behind

thanks a lot

  • Hi Red,

Sorry for the confusion. The 7V rating is not for OUT pin. OUT pin should be the same as the VCC pin because VCC supplies the driver. The reason it is not shown in the table is because OUT pin is considered an output pin, and the customer is not supposed to supply a signal to an output pin. Ony the negative rating of the OUT pin is specified because it is externally forced on the pin.

So, your OUT pin is safe for 7.2V.

    Thanks,
    Youhao
