TPS709: Enable thresholds

Part Number: TPS709

Hi

  1. In our application, we need accurate enable threshold, TPS70933 enable threshold is 0.9V, but sometimes 0.55V can enable TPS70933. Can you help to confirm this design?
  2. What’s the absolutely min enable threshold value?

Regards,

Jason

  • Hi ,

Unfortunately TPS709, like most linear regulators, does not have a precision enable threshold.  In order to ensure that the output is enabled we recommend that Ven be driven above 0.9 V.  In order to disable the output, we recommend that Ven be driven below 0.4 V.  The actual enable on and off thresholds will both be between 0.4 V and 0.9 V.  If you require the TPS709 to be enabled at a specific time, we recommend using a voltage supervisor, GPIO, or any other digital signal to drive Ven.

    Very Respectfully,

    Ryan
