BQ27542-G1: SOC1 is setting after RM above SOC1 clear threshold?

Part Number: BQ27542-G1

Dear TI Experts,

My customer find that SOC1 is setting after RM above SOC1 clear threshold, could you kindly help to suggest the reason for this case? Thanks a lot.

As you can see in below figure, RM is 213, and SOC1 clear threshold is 80. But the SOC1 flag is setting all the time.

  • Hi Bruce,
Do you have a log file of the occurence sowing when the SOC1 flag got set and wwhen the rem cap went below the threshold that it out to clear and then didn't. This will help us understand what the preceding conditions were. can you also verify that you are using an actual battery for your tests and that the value had always been set to 80 and before the test? when you updated any your parameters, did you send a reset command so the parameters get updated in RAM as well?

    thanks
    Onyx
