ULN2003A: failure mode

Hi team,

My customer is wondering if ULN2003A over-voltage or over-current, what would this part behave? Is it short or open?

    Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

    It is difficult to predict the failure mode of the ULN2003A due to an over-voltage or over-current event. Since the FET could be stressed causing the channel resistance to increase, the FET could fail open or create a short from collector to GND.

    If you could provide more details about the application, I can take a closer look and see if there's anything wrong with the schematics / application.
