TPS50601A-SP: Enable pin threshold bounds

Part Number: TPS50601A-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS50601-SP,

For the enable thresholds we provide the below (for both A and non-A versions of the POL):

TPS50601-SP

Rising threshold                ??min                  1.13Vtyp              1.18Vmax

Falling threshold               1.05Vmin             1.09Vtyp              ??max

TPS50601A-SP

Rising threshold                ??min                  1.14Vtyp              1.18Vmax

Falling threshold               1.05Vmin             1.11Vtyp              ??max

For WCA we'd like the missing values. i.e. if the part is already enabled and experiences a transient due to radiation on the enable pin and the rail dips what is the maximum value for the falling threshold that MIGHT cause the part to be disenabled. Same idea on the rising.

 Do we have this data?

  • Hey Michael,

This is proprietary data that can't be shared publicly.

    Thanks,
    Daniel
  • Michael, like Daniel mentioned, we typically don't share data related to specifications this way but here are a few comments to elaborate on this a bit further. For WCA, end of life and TID drift would need to be considered. This information is part of Group C and Group E respectively part of the QMLV RHA qualification process. Every RHA device we ship would include this information.

In addition, the reasoning behind adding a maximum for the rising specification is because we guarantee every device will get enabled when the voltage at the EN pin is at a voltage equal or larger than the specification but some devices might get enabled at voltages slightly lower than this max. specification. This number is statistically guardbanded. In a simlar way, the minimum for the falling specification means than all devices will be disabled when the voltage at the EN pin is equal or lesser than the specification but some devices might get disabled at voltages slightly higher than this min. specification. This number is also statistically guardbanded.

Having said that, I did check our internal characterization data over a large number of devices across temperature and input voltage and the min. for the EN rising voltage is 1.06V and the max. for the EN falling voltage is 1.13V. Please notice these numbers are not guardbanded for statistical distribution and they should only be used as reference.

    Thanks,

    JV
