BQ24298: question 5

Part Number: BQ24298

Hi, I'm using the BQ24298 CI of power management for a USB port. When I connect VBUS = 5.05v, V_SYS is around 1.34V. Occasionally I made a short circuit between REGN and SW, and the V_SYS went to 4.42v, but when I restart the V_SYS process back to 1.34v. Could help me understand what's going on. Thank you  .

  • Hi,

Referring to page 8 of the d/s, the input limit is set to 100mA when VSYS is below 2.2V. Please do not overload SYS before VSYS reaches 2.2V.

    Thanks,

    Ning.
