TL431A-Q1: re there any differences between the following screenshots? T3AG/TAIS/TAI3/TAIU

Part Number: TL431A-Q1

Query shows that TL431AIDBZR and TL431AIDBZRG4 have the same TI marking.

Are there any differences between the following screenshots? T3AG/TAIS/TAI3/TAIU

  • Hi Eagle,

This is a question for the TL431 non Q1 grade. In which case the TL431AIDBZR and TL431AIDBZRG4 are extremely similar devices except one tiny detail.
The G4 designation is a legacy suffix that used to differentiate between Pb and Pb-Free devices during the early 2000's.
Currently all TL431 are Pb-Free and which makes the G4 lose most of its value.
The only current difference is that the lead finish on the TL431AIDBZR can be CU NIPDAU or CU SN. The TL431AIDBZRG4 lead finish can only be CU NIPDAU.
There are no performance differences and they both share the same markings. I would recommend TL431AIDBZR or the new TL431LIAIDBZR which is better performance than TL431.

  • how about T3AG/TAIS/TAI3/TAIU marking difference?thankyou!

  • Hi Eagle,

The markings are for TI purposes of keeping track of what the device is, function, and factory it was created. There are no performance differences from the markings. For example, TAIS and TAI3 are from different factories but they are both TL431DBZR.
