Hi Expect,

Checking from DS, the typical OCP is 26A. if we would like to set 30A OCP with formula of 7.3.6 section, is it ok or not?

It depends on a few variables. VTRIP should not exceed 1.2 V. So you need to know Vout, Lout, Vin and Fsw to calculate the OCL VTRIP and RTRIP.

Mark,

The documentation does not provide any details about the upper limit. As long as the absolute maximum of 7 V is not exceeded the device will not be permanently damaged. Let me see if I can find out the details. In any case, the current limit function is not guaranteed to operate at VTRIP > 1.2 V.

Mark,

TPS53353 will not be damaged if VTRIP is above 1.2 V. Performance at VTRIP > 1.2 V is not specified or guaranteed. If you need higher current, then look at TPS53355.
