BQ51050B: Schematic and resistor values

Hi!

Here is my schematic for bq51050B.

Please check my schematic!!

I do not use LED to see whether it is charging. I use LCD screen instead.

I do not use a temperature sensor and TERM.

I just want 500mA charging current as a maximum.

 

The issue is about EN2 pin connection. I want it to be HIGH all the time because I do not have wired power source.

In its evaluation board (BQ51050BEVM-764), the EN2 is wired to RECT but the components connected to RECT are different now.

Can R16(1.5K ohm) be used? BQ51050BEVM-764 uses 1K in the RECT line.

    Review of schematic below:
    1.) TS pin -- 10k total resistance to ground is a safe condition. If not used install 10k value for R3.
    2.) EN2 and AD -- To disable wired power source ground AD and EN2.
    3.) TERM -- Recommend setting to 10%, 2.4k
    4.) ILIM and FOD -- Charge current set to about 525mA. Value split between the two -- looks OK.
    5.) Coil tuning -- C15, C19 and C11 will be tuned to 100kHz with RX Coil
