For very high capacities, you will need to use the current scaling feature. Current scaling is available in the BQ78350-R2 (this is a firmware update that can be downloaded and loaded onto the BQ78350-R1 device).

The Design Energy is in cWh, so I think if you scale by 100, your value should be 7200 cWh right?

The IPScale bits should be set to 0x2 or 0x3 to scale by 100 (see the TRM description). The resolution will be affected, but it is probably okay for your application if you will be experiencing high discharge currents normally.

You are scaling the large capacity down by a factor of 100. So instead of 720,000 cWH, you are entering a Design Energy of 7200 cWH. This would mean that instead of each unit representing 10 cWH, it now represents 10*100 cWH. Does that make sense?
