Part Number: BQ24250
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25896, BQ25895

Hi

I have some questions !

Is the i2c address fixed? Can you change it? Please let me know how you can change it

Because I'm using two bq24250 and i2c address seems to crash

Is the output voltage used for the 3.3V battery used as the 12v adapter input the same ?

always 4.2V output voltage ?5822.question.pptx

  • Hi Kim,

Unfortunately, the I2C address is fixed.

Regarding the output, the SYS output provides a minimum output voltage (~3.6V) even with no battery. If battery is attached at BAT and is charging, the SYS voltage will rise to slightly above the battery voltage.

The maximum operating input voltage is 10.5V not 12V.

If you have 12V input, I suggest changing to BQ25895 and BQ25896. They have different I2C addresses.

    Regards,
    Jeff
