BQ24195L: REG01 bit7 state define

Part Number: BQ24195L

If we set bit7 to 0,is it mean that BQ24195L hold the latest register config before power off?Is this application for all registers or only REG01?

If we change the register config every time then shut down or power off,is the config different when power on every time?

  • Hi,

    1. All the registers are reset to default values.
    2. When another source plugs in, the charger IC will run detection again, and update the input current limit. The status and read-only registers depend on the charger system conditions when powering up again.

    Thanks,

    Ning.

  • Hi Ning,
1, The description of REG01 says that Bit7 is 1 resets to default values and 0 keep current register settings ,pls double comfirm it. and the register here is all the writable registers?
2, if Bit =0 in REG01 ,every time BQ24195L is power on , it uses the configration before the last power off?
  • Hi,

    1) Please refer to Table 6 on the d/s for the details.
    2) Please refer to 8.3.1.1 Power-On-Reset (POR) on the d/s.
The internal bias circuits are powered from the higher voltage of VBUS and BAT. When VBUS or VBAT rises above UVLOZ, the sleep comparator, battery depletion comparator and BATFET driver are active. I2C interface is ready for communication and all the registers are reset to default value. The host can access all the registers after POR.

    Thanks,

    Ning.
