bq25710 is still not in the bqStudio device list.

This is frustrating and disappointing since we planned to test our SMBUS utilization using our implementations and the EV2400 with the bq25710 EVM, especially after it specifically mentioned in the EVM's user guide (SLUUBT8B) to select the "Charger_1_00_BQ25710.bqz" when there's actually no such file.

A bit misleading and disappointing from TI.

Hope you can reference me to a compatible setup and tool where I can setup my bq25710 using SMBUS.

I was wondering the same - why the bq25710 is missing from the bqStudio?

I installed the 1.3.86.3 and there one can see bq25700A, bq25703A and BQ25713, but the bq25710 is missing.

Hi all,

I confirm that up to now in BQSTUDIO there is not available the part number BQ25710. It is a pitty since we have bougth the EV2400 with the bq25710 EVM and we cannot control anything. Please update the version of BQstudio since ìn the guide SLUUBT8B it is reported the presence of Charger_1_00_BQ25710.bqz.

Hey Guiseppe,

I spoke with the BQStudio team about this and they have pushed for the release of the device. Look out for release version 1.3.90.1 of BQSTUDIOTEST from www.ti.com/.../BQSTUDIO.

In the mean time, to evaluate the device and use the EVM, you can use the BQ25700A .bqz as the functionality of the two devices is very similar and they share almost all the same register settings save a few new features.
