Hope you are doing well. When you get a chance please share some guidance on customer question below:
Customer used Webench to create a design. Upon close review customer noticed that the Ccomp2 capacitor from WEBENCH design should have been 2.0nF. Somehow we ended up with a 4.7nF capacitor in our final design and missed this error. (See the capacitor placement C76 of our attached design).
When first powered up we get 30V output as desired. Second power on to test and the voltage is down to battery input voltage minus the drop across the big power diode D3 and that baby gets very hot!
So, is the error in the Ccomp2 value the most likely culprit here? We can’t find any other deviations from the WEBENCH design
