UCC27537: Error in the datasheet?

Part Number: UCC27537
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27531

Hello,

I wanna use the UCC27537 for a design. I'm confused with the logic table. I think there might be a mistake in the datasheet.

The UCC27537 is a non-inverting, single input, single output driver. However, the logic table is :

The last 2 rows seem wrong to me. My interpretation of this is if EN is high and IN is high, then OUT is low which doesn't make sense as this is a non-inverting driver.

The last row is als wrong I believe. My interpretation of this is if EN is high, then is doesn't matter the state of IN, out will be high.

Please let me know if this is a mistake or if I overlooked something.

Thanks,

Olivier

  • Hi Olivier,

My name is Mamadou Diallo, I am an Applications Engineer supporting low-side in the High Power Drivers group.

Thanks for your interest in our driver and your interpretation is correct, when both EN and IN are High, the single output should be High as well; with EN High and IN+ left floating, this IN+ pin is internally pulled down to GND through the 230kΩ resistor which result in Low output state.

The UCC27537 is similar to the UCC27531 in functionality with a single output structure instead, therefore please refer to that driver truth table (OUTH and OUTL pins tied together) while we fix this issue during our next datasheet revision iteration.

If this answered your inquiry, please press the green button or let us know if you have further questions or if you run into any applications related problems in your design.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    -Mamadou
