LP8860-Q1: Disabling the driver

Part Number: LP8860-Q1

I have a question about the part LP8860, which is used in a backlight board.

From the DS of the part, we have information about what happens when VDD/EN is 1.65v to VDD (chapter 6.8 logic interface characteristics).

What happens when the Vdd/En is 1.5v to 0v? i.e what happens when the driver is disabled? How driver’s disabling influence an SPI bus?

In our case, the led driver in used in a backlight board. We use several led drivers, which are connected to SPI bus together with an EEPROM. All drivers share the same disable signal (input 19 – VDDIO/EN). The EEPROM doesn’t have disable signal. When the drivers are disabled, we can’t access the EEPROM and read from it. The output in output 14 – MISO seems to be forced to a low voltage level.

Thank you,
Yana
